Little River Description

Little River is a river located in Trigg County, Kentucky, USA. It arises in Christian County and flows northwest near Cadiz before emptying into Lake Barkley. It is part of the Cumberland River drainage. The surrounding region is comprised of low rolling hills and farmland. Bedrock consists of limestone and there are numerous springs, caves and bluffs along the river's edge. The stream bed is composed mostly of clay and mud with some bedrock, gravel and limestone boulders. The upper section is winding and tree-lined with some giant, virgin timber.
