This is where the Pond River empties into the Green at Jewell City.I would call it the Mouth of the POND. It's a staging area for White Bass before they make their spawning run up the POND. The State is supposed to have built a nice ramp here. Haven't had a chance to check it out. BUT YOU BE SURE AND CHECK YOUR DRAG!!!
Pennyrile Parkway S of Madisonville to Mortons Gap exit; left on White City Road to boat ramp. The Pond River is a main tributary of the Green River. Its headwaters are in northern Todd County, and its mouth is west of Calhoun on the McLean–Hopkins border. The Pond River and its tributaries, all of which are small, are the main drainage system for eastern Hopkins, western Muhlenberg, northern Christian, and northern Todd Counties. Although the water quality is not the best due to some mining discharge, the stream is nevertheless scenic, with birch and willow trees overhanging the water, and it has a well-defined, navigable channel.
The Pond River is a tributary of the Green River [1], about 65 mi (105 km) long, in western Kentucky in the United States [2]. Via the Green and Ohio Rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River [1].
