Red River Description

Ramp: US 460 SE of Frenchburg; Hwy 77 S; Hwy 715 E to bridge over Red River; on right. The Red River is a tributary of the Kentucky River, approximately 57 mi long, in east central Kentucky in the United States. It rises in the mountainous region of the Cumberland Plateau, in eastern Wolfe County, approximately 15 mi east of Campton. It flows generally west, through Red River Gorge in the Daniel Boone National Forest, then past Stanton and Clay City. It joins the Kentucky approximately 11 mi southeast of Winchester, Kentucky.

The Red River is a tributary of the Kentucky River, approximately 57 mi (92 km) long, in east central Kentucky in the United States.
