Comment: Hi Again, After further study of the map I realized that my comments about Cypress Creek does not go with this area of the creek. Zoom in on the POND RIVER section of map to get coordinates for the area I am referring to.Don't forget to CHECK YOUR DRAG!Thanks.

Comment: Hi, I used to fish the lower section of CYPRESS CREEK years ago in the spring for white bass during the spawning run. In fact one of my best records while fishing happened on CYPRESS.We put the boat in at JEWEL CITY where POND RIVER joins the GREEN.A short run up the POND and CYPRESS runs into it on the left.We worked our way up the creek casting small curlytail jigs. The water was so clear that a lot of times you would set the hook to the flash of the fish rather than actually feeling the strike! My record that day was 13 fish boated on 13 casts! Don't think I'll ever TOP IT! Alas it wasn't long after this that the creek turned muddy during the spring even during low water.I really don't know what happened, but about this same time local farmers went to 'NO TILL FARMING'. We made several trips during the next couple of years, but the fish just weren't there. This may have something to do with the fact that white bass eggs need to drift suspended for so far and not be covered in silt-mud. Fish, as do all animals have a built in survival instinct and may have sensed that spawning in the muddy creek was futile. As I said this has been some years back and I haven't checked the fishing out recently. If anyone has noticed a change in water quality of the lower section of this creek in recent years, please keep us informed.Thanks. MR. BITEME
